The Challenge
To build the first LEED-Gold certified restaurant in New York City.
The Insight
We knew that because LEED process management has not yet been specifically tailored to the restaurant industry, certification would be challenging. Careful coordination, transparency and follow-through would be paramount.
Our combined team of LEED consultants and experienced construction managers were able to use their theoretical knowledge and practical expertise to bridge the gaps between the designs and reality.
The Results
Pizza by Certé opened in April 2010 to much fanfare and publicity. It is now regularly packed with diners, and is currently in the review stages of the LEED process.
